Sorry for being so delinquent, between the Guster concert and then being in LA for a week, I missed a couple of photos. Here I am. No new news. Saw the doctor, everything's fine. Bradley classes are going well. In a week we're off to SLC for Thanksgiving.

I have two kids myself, but the best birth story I know is the one I saw in my own second grade classroom a few years back. When I was a kid, I loved show-and-tell. So I always have a few sessions with my students. It helps them get over shyness and usually, show-and-tell is pretty tame. Kids bring in pet turtles, model airplanes, pictures of fish they catch, stuff like that. And I never, ever place any boundaries or limitations on them. STUDY ON WHY PREGNANT WOMEN DON’T TIP OVER WINS “IG NOBEL PRIZE” Anthropologist Liza Shapiro and two fellow researchers won an Ig Nobel Prize — an award dedicated to “achievements that first make people laugh, and then make them think” — for a 2007 study on the evolutionary reasons pregnant women don’t tip over. By studying 19 pregnant women, they discovered that a woman’s lumbar, or lower back, curve extends across three vertebrae. In men, it extends across two.
