Saha's got at least 2 molars! I say at least because it's hard to get her to actually keep her mouth open for us to see so we know that there is tooth of some sort sticking through on the bottom on both sides, but we can't tell if there's any on the top. She also eats pretty much anything now. She's moved to the "infant 3" class at daycare and they eat the catered food that the same from this age upwards. She seems to like everything except juice, which we can't get her to drink anyway. I'm not to worried about it though, since she doesn't really need to drink juice. She's a water and milk girl. She's really digging the whole milk.

The day after we go to SLC, we went to the Ganesh Temple. Mom and Dad had arranged to have a Ganesh Puja for Saha - it's a special version that you do around a person's first birthday. Saha sat very quietly for the first half hour or so, then she had cheerios to keep her happy for the next 15 minutes, and then she wanted to run around. Yesterday (Wednesday) Saha figured out how to use a straw! We were going to the doctor for her 1 year appointment and she was starting to fuss in the back seat, so I gave her my camelback bottle to play with. She was able able to bite down and suck up water! It kept her happy through the appointment. We went out for dinner and she actually drank water through a regular straw. Saha is 28 3/4" tall, 18 lbs, 13 oz and head is 17 1/2" around. Doctor told us we need to give her more fats, that her weight is a little low, so Saha gets olive oil and ghee in everything now! She also had her first meal in the next classroom at school today and her teacher said that she "devoured" the meatballs, peas and fruit. May her love all all food continue on forever!

Last Saturday we had a birthday party with all of our friends, covering pretty much every stage of our life. I had a friend from high school (Natalie & Marc & Madeleine & Sophie), one from college (Jodie), one from grad school (Brette), a few from work (Katie & Matt, Juan & Ana & Joaquin, Alisa, James & Eliza & Thomas), a couple from our Bradley class (Sarah & Juman & Joy, Derek & Mahalie) and another friend that we've made along the way (Anne & Shamik & Caleb through Natalie). As I was the hostess, I did not take many pictures so thank you so much to Juman for being the unofficial photographer for the party. He took some amazing shots and has graciously given them all to me. The only pictures that I took are the cake, all others are Juman's. We had 7 kids in the house, from the ages of about 4 months to over 2 1/2 years. Saha had a wonderful time playing with all of her friends and getting lots of attention. She sure did ...

First things first (even though the picture was taken at the end of the day) Saha's 12 month picture! Today Saha had her 1st first birthday party at school. Her friend Sophie, in her class, as the same birthday, so we did a joint party. Here are some pics from the party. Balloons are fun! MMMM, raspberry I don't know about that.... give...me...MORE! Saha's almost 1! Just a couple more days. Friday, Saha had her first taste of ice cream - a little bit of dad's strawberry cheesecake and mom's s'mores from Pops on King Street. The first bite she made quite a face because it was so cold, but she definitely wanted more. The second bite, the face was a little more normal and by the third she was just loving it and wanting more. She probably ended up having a couple tablespoons and then was done, all on her own. Last night, when we were playing with Saha after her bath, she grabbed her zebra hat off of the rocking chair and started walking in circles around me, trying to put it on. It was quite amusing. You could tell that she knew it was suppose to go on her head, but because it's a tight, knit cap, she wasn't quite able to do it. Saha's gotten really good at taking apart the Duplos and she'll even put them back in the container. She knows that they go together but she doesn't quite have the ski...
