General Update

Saha's got her 8th tooth coming in this week. She is trying all sorts of new foods and we've discovered that she really likes hummus. I've made her a simple hummus of fresh chickpeas and tahini and she practically inhales it, eating 3-4 oz of it in one sitting. She also loves potatoes, butternut squash, mozzarella cheese, and all kinds of lentils and rice. Saha has also learned now how to blow kisses, which you saw from a previous video and she will give us little blow kisses on the cheek, which is just precious.

Snow Day (really Ice Day) - January 18th

Image
Monday night to Tuesday morning there was an ice storm. Saha's daycare was closed due to the trecherous weather and since Allen had a 2 hour delay for work, he took the day off and got to spend another day at home with Saha (Monday because of MLK Day). Here's a video from the day and also some pictures of the ice storm that Allen took. Enjoy! 11-01-18 Ice Storm

Visit to Bourdons - Weekend of January 15th

Image
We took an improptu visit up to visit the Bourdon's this past weekend. Since Saha is just starting to walk, it was a great opportunity for her to have a lot of open, carpeted space to run around on and get to used to walking without the pain of falling. Here's a video and some pictures from the weekend. And here's a video when she first started trying to walk while holding our hand. It's from right after New Year's.

Priya's visit

Image
Priya and Mike came to visit this past weekend and we had a blast with them. We are so glad that they were able to come and visit. Saha had such a good time! We went to the Newseum on Saturday, which is a news museum. It was a great museum and I highly recommend it, but it is also very depressing, seeing as most news is. We then went out for Ethiopian food, which is where these pictures are taken.

Saha Walks!

It's official, as of yesterday!

Here she is, big girl! I've got lots more to post, but it's late and I'm tired, so more tomorrow.

Saha's First Christmas

Image
We spent Saha's first Christmas in Yuma, Arizona, with her Grandma (Judy), Grandpa (Jay), Nanima (Purnima) and Nanaji (Bipin). She had a blast being the center of attention and she got to meet a lot of extended family, including aunts, uncles, cousins and her only living great-grandparent - Grandma Bobbie. Here are a few select pictures. The rest are in the album link at the end of this post. 10-12-25 Yuma Christmas
