Here's the latest round... 8/12/2012 at dinner "Dad, save some for me" (in reference to the bowl of guacamole that Allen was scooping from) Allen's response (to me) "It's amazing what she strings together." 8/15/2012 after books, before bed, in Saha's room. "Saha would you like to go pee pee one more time?" "Yes. Mommy, you stay right there, sit down. Daddy, stay right there, sit down." (She says with a pointed finger near her face) (Saha walks to the bathroom and then comes back) "Turn on light." "But Saha, you said that I have to stay right here." "Mommy, turn on light" "Saha, what do you say?" "Please." "Saha, say the whole thing." "Mommy, turn on light, please" (I get up and turn on the light in the bathroom) "Go sit down, mommy." (I go back and sit down on the floor in her room, trying not to crack up) (we hear pee in the toilet...

We drove up to Philly the weekend after the 4th to run the Color Run, and to see the Bourdons. Priya and Mike also drove down for the weekend I got to meet Kyrsten's brother Kit for the first time (and Allen got to see him for the first time since Kyrsten's wedding!). I took off that Friday and Saha and I went to a children's concert at Wolf Trap. The artist was Elizabeth Mitchell, who has some great kids' songs and sings folksy music. She also performed at our friends Nelson and Gisel's wedding and are friend with them. The concert was outside in an amphitheater in the woods. Saha had a great time and it was about the right length for a 2 year old's attention span. Doing the motions with one of the songs Running around and dancing with some other kids near the end. We got to Kyrsten's pretty mid-afternoon and were able to get some pool time in before dinner. Saha was having a great time jumping off the diving board. She did it a bunch of times....

I think I just missed this post from a couple months ago. Saturday we went for a walk over to the river and took some fun pictures at this old anchor in Oronoco Bay Park. For Father's Day, Allen wanted to go on a bike ride and have a picnic, so that's what we did. We rode up to The Yards Park, where we have been a few times before. We picked up sandwiches from Potbellies. Saha loves the wading pool and the fountains there. She's also really good at making friends and found a little boy willing to share his green bucket with her. She fell asleep in the trailer about 20 minutes before we got home and we couldn't get to go back to sleep once we brought her in, even though we tried. Finally, we went into her room and she had done this, so we decided to give up on a nap for the day.

The weekend after we returned from our trip to Northern Europe, Saha had her last swimming lesson, so I went with her, since I hadn't had a chance to be in the pool with her yet for a lesson.

I'm going to start a new segment that I'm going to call "Overheard at our house" which is just awesome things that Saha says. For my first installment, I give you this gem: Allen says, "Saha, tell mom what James did when I came to pick you up." I said, "Did he give you a high five?" Allen says, "What did he do before the high five? Did he give you a kiss?" Saha, "Yes." Me, "Where did he give you a kiss?" Saha  (pointing at her left cheek), "Right here!" Allen, "Saha had the biggest smile on her face." (after a few seconds) "Mommy, I love James." "Mommy, I love James." (oh boy!) Saha pretty much says loves everything right now, including foods that she's never had, so I'm not too concerned, just yet.

And, to add to the last post of random Saha-isms, here are some more of her fun sleeping poses 6/14 6/17 - yes, we did put her back up on the bed! 6/21 - doesn't Elmo look like he's being held there against his will? 6/23 - naptime 6/23 - later that evening. 6/29 - 4 am the morning she and Allen left for San Diego 7/30 - at Grandma and Grandpa's in San Diego - this one is just sweet
