November 6, 2011 - Roosevelt Island

We had a really beautiful Sunday and decided to take a trip to Roosevelt, Island, where we had never been before. We picked up some breakfast sandwiches and drove on up. It's a small island in the middle of the Potomac River, south of Georgetown. There are some trails around the island (we did the main loop around) and there's a big monument to Theodore Roosevelt in the middle.
