Things Saha Says...

(Allen has taken out the ingredients to make quesadillas and has started preparing them for Saha's dinner)
Saha: Daddy, you making quesadillas?
Allen: Yes, I'm making cheese tortillas.
Saha: YEAH, QUESADILLAS!!!!! (as she screams loudly and starts running around)
Allen: I didn't know that she wanted them that badly.
(I'm sitting in the basement studying and that exchanged just cracked me up)
Allen (to me): What was the big laugh?
Me: Laughing at Saha.

After dinner, we sat in a circle and sang a song that Saha sings at school every morning:
"Mommy came to school today, school today, school today, mommy came to school today, stand up and say Hooray!" "Hooray!"
"Daddy came to school today, school today, school today, daddy came to school today, stand up and say Hooray!" "Hooray!"
"Saha came to school today, school today, school today, Saha came to school today, stand up and say Hooray!" "Hooray!"
(Saha thinks for a second, and then...)
"Beer came to school today, school today, school today, beer came to school today, stand up and say Hooray!" "Hooray!"
(in our defense, we both did have beers in our hands)

As I'm wiping her off after a shower, she says very matter-of-factly,
"Mommy, sometimes I don't listen."
"that's right, Saha, sometimes you don't."
"sometimes I listen and sometimes I don't."
Later that day, we are Skyping with my parents and dad has just gotten home from shopping where he got a new fancy DSLR camera with a bunch of accessories, Saha says "Nana, show me cam-ra you got at store." he proceeds to pull out all the pieces and Saha watches the screen very intently. She put it all together, first asking where he was and then asking what he bought before putting it all together.
