Saturday - Event #3 - First #2 - FIREWORKS!
Alexandria celebrates it's birthday the week after the 4th and there are fireworks in the park pretty much directly over from us along the river. Before the fireworks, the live orchestra performed 1812 Overture, complete with canons, which didn't scare Saha one bit. She also loved the fireworks and was pointing up at them the whole time.

Overall Saturday was a very long day. Saha woke up at 5:45, took a nap in the afternoon that was half on Dad's shoulder coming back from the Mall and half in her bed when we got home, and then was up until 11 pm.

Sunday, we all slept in. Allen and I slept until 11 and Saha didn't wake up until 11:45! The previous day out in the sun for 4 hours and then running around with her friends at dinner must have really tired her out!

Sunday - First #3 - First Haircut!!!!

Saha was amazing at the barber shop. We had to wait about 10 minutes for her turn, and she sat very quietly on my lap, just looking around. She didn't fidget at all during her haircut and she sat very well the whole time. It took maybe 10 minutes to cut her hair and she didn't shake her head at all and she and looked the right direction she needed to in order for the barber to cut her hair. I was amazed. I had no idea how they were going to get her to sit still, but they didn't need to do anything. Afterward, she had her first lollipop (well about 5 minutes of it until we realized what a mess it was causing and she dropped it while I was wiping her face).
