Cherry Blossoms 2012
On Friday, we had absolutely beautiful weather and made plans to go down to see the Cherry Blossoms with our college friend, Jodie. I picked up sandwiches from Potbelly's and we sat by the tidalbasin under some cherry trees.
We hadn't had a chance to visit the new Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial yet, so we took time do to that, in the twilight.
Here are some overall views.
And lastly, on the way back to the car, we stopped by the WWII Memorial. I like it much better by night than by day. Saha was quite amazed by the water and kept looking at it and saying "Whoa!" and just sitting there and staring at the fountain.
We were glad to spend some time with Jodie and just catch up, and to enjoy the fleeting good weather here in DC.
